About

Octo8 is an independent iOS and macOS app studio based in Ankara, Türkiye. Founded in 2024 by Bülent Tekbaş, with 13 apps live on the App Store.

What is Octo8?

Octo8 is an independent iOS and macOS app studio based in Ankara, Türkiye. It was founded in 2024 by Bülent Tekbaş and today publishes 13 apps on the App Store across sleep, health, finance, education and productivity. Every app ships through the Octo8 developer page on the App Store.

Each app starts from a real need — sleeping better, keeping a habit, making a clearer financial decision, or looking after a device. We build apps that work rather than apps that impress.

Founder

Octo8 was founded and is run by Bülent Tekbaş, who also holds the App Store developer account. For questions, feedback or collaboration, write to [email protected].

Bülent also writes the articles on the Sleep Sounds blog. They are informational only and are not medical advice; sources for health-related claims are linked inline in each article.

In development

We are working on WordLocker (vocabulary app-blocker) and Vertex Health (HealthKit health score). Neither has a live App Store listing yet.

How we work

  • Simplicity — No features for their own sake. Only what earns its place.
  • Privacy — We keep user data on the device wherever we can.
  • Honesty — The sound counts, prices and features on this site match the App Store listing exactly. We do not use fake reviews or overstated health claims.
  • Quality — Every app is designed and tested with care.
