Privacy Policy

What No Way! Puzzle collects, why, and who processes it. There is no account, and your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud.

Last updated · 1 October 2026

No Way! Puzzle is made by Octo8 (Ankara, Türkiye). This policy covers the iPhone and iPad app. It lists every service the app talks to and what each one receives.

The short version

  • No account. You never give us your name, email address or a password to play.
  • Your progress is yours. Stars, solved boards and streaks are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud, not on our servers.
  • Anonymous gameplay statistics help us tune the difficulty of the boards. They carry a random identifier, never your name or contact details.
  • Ads in the free version come from Google AdMob. Personalised ads are shown only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and, where the law requires it, only with your consent. Premium removes ads.
  • We never sell your data.

What the app stores on your device

  • Progress: solved boards, stars, hints used, daily results and your streak, in a small file on your device.
  • Settings: sound, haptics, reduce motion, the daily reminder time.
  • iCloud key-value storage: a copy of your progress, kept in your own iCloud account so it follows you to your other devices. Apple operates it; we can’t see it.

Services the app uses

Daily boards (our server, hosted on Supabase)

Each day the app downloads that day’s board from our server. The request contains no identifier for you. Like any web server, it sees the IP address of the request; we don’t use it to identify you.

Gameplay statistics (Mixpanel)

We use Mixpanel to understand how the boards play: which boards are started, solved or left, how long they take, how many hints and stars, mode switches, daily results, and when the Premium screen is shown or Premium starts. Events carry a random identifier created on your device, not your name, email or Apple ID. Mixpanel may derive an approximate location (country and city) from the IP address. We use these statistics only to improve the game, never for advertising or tracking.

Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Premium is bought through Apple; we never see your payment details. RevenueCat checks your subscription status with Apple using an anonymous app user identifier, and receives your purchase history (what you bought and when). We link it to the anonymous statistics identifier so we can see how subscriptions relate to play.

Ads in the free version (Google AdMob)

Free players see a full-screen ad between boards, never during one. Before ads load, Google’s consent form appears where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and some US states). After your sixth solved board, iOS asks once whether the app may track you.

  • If you allow tracking, Google may use your device’s advertising identifier, together with ad interactions and coarse location, to show personalised ads and measure them.
  • If you don’t, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are limited or non-personalised.

You can change your consent at any time under Settings › Privacy choices in the app, and the tracking permission under iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Google’s use of data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. No Way? Premium removes all ads.

Game Center (Apple)

If you sign in to Game Center, your daily times, streak, total stars and achievements are sent to Apple’s Game Center under your Game Center profile, so they can appear on leaderboards. Apple’s privacy policy covers that data. You can play without signing in.

Daily reminder

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is a local notification scheduled on your device. It needs no server and no push token.

Email

If you contact us, through Send feedback, Contact support or the rating screen, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it except with the services above, which process it for us.
  • We don’t ask for your contacts, photos, location permission, camera or microphone.
  • We don’t create an account for you or collect your name.

Keeping and deleting

  • Deleting the app removes the progress stored on the device. The iCloud copy can be removed in iPhone Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
  • Anonymous statistics are kept only as long as they are useful for improving the game. Email us to ask for deletion and we’ll help.

Your rights (KVKK / GDPR)

You can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, or object to its use. Write to [email protected].

Children

No Way! Puzzle is a logic game suitable for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
