Privacy Policy

• No account. There is no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• No player names. The names you enter for a game, and any groups you save, are stored only in your device’s local storage. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
• No contacts, photos, location or microphone. The App does not request access to any of these.
• No advertising and no tracking. There are no ad networks in the App, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The App does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission because it has nothing to track.

The App sends anonymous, aggregated usage analytics through Mixpanel so we can see which games people actually play and which cards get skipped. These events are tied to a randomly generated device identifier, not to you.

Each event may carry:

• Which game and mode was started, completed or abandoned, and how long it lasted
• Which card was shown or skipped, identified by an internal card ID
• How many players were in the round, and how many saved groups exist (a count only, never the names)
• Your interface language, app version and platform
• Settings changes, such as toggling sound or haptics

We never attach the text you type to an event. There is no way for us to identify you, contact you, or link this data to a person.

Card-level data is what lets us retire prompts that consistently get skipped and write better ones. Game and mode data tells us which of the six games are worth expanding. Without it we would be guessing.

Analytics events are processed by Mixpanel, Inc. on servers in the United States. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Nobody outside Octo8 receives it except the analytics provider named above, acting on our behalf.

If you leave a rating or review, Apple handles that under its own privacy policy — we only receive the aggregate figures Apple shows every developer. The App may occasionally ask you to rate it using Apple’s standard system prompt, which does not share anything with us.

Sip It is an adults-only party game and is rated 18+. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the legal drinking age in their country. The App asks you to confirm you are 18 or older before it can be used.

Deleting the App removes every player name, saved group and setting from your device permanently — there is no server-side copy to request or erase. If you would like the anonymous analytics associated with your device identifier deleted, email us and we will action it; please note that because the data is anonymous, we may need you to provide the identifier from within the App.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the App’s release notes.
