The short version: this app collects nothing that identifies you. There is no account to create, and the numbers you type never leave your phone.

What stays on your device

Your saved calculations (the inputs — principal, contribution, rate, term and so on) and your preferences (language, currency, tax rule pack, appearance, accent colour, profit-share wording switch) are stored only on your device, whether that is an iPhone or an Android phone. We hold no copy of them, and could not: there is no server of ours for them to reach.

A note on what a saved row contains: inputs, not results. Opening one replays the calculation, so it reflects today's rules rather than the day you saved it.

What we don't collect

• No account. No name, email, phone number or other identifier is ever requested.
• No analytics SDK, and no figures. The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and the numbers you enter never reach us. The iOS app does send three plain counters — a first launch, the paywall being opened, and a subscription starting — each carrying only the app version and your device's language/region setting (for example tr_TR). They are counted, never attributed: no identifier of any kind is attached, so they cannot be tied to you, to your device, or to one another. The Android app sends none of these.
• No ads. There is no ad SDK, no advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA or Android's Advertising ID) and no cross-app tracking — which is why the iOS app never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt and the Android app never asks for the AD_ID permission.
• No location, contacts, photos or health data. The app asks for none of those permissions.
• No cloud sync. In this version your saved calculations are not uploaded to iCloud, Google Drive or anywhere else. Android's system backup may include the app's on-device data if you have it switched on; that copy is held in your own Google account, not by us.

Purchases

The Pro subscription is processed by whichever store you bought it from — Apple on iOS, Google Play on Android. Your payment details stay with that store, and Octo8 never sees your card information. How each store handles the transaction is governed by its own privacy policy.

To know whether Pro is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. It receives the store's purchase receipt together with an anonymous identifier the app generates for your installation. It does not receive your name, your email address or your payment details, and that identifier is not linked to any account, because there is no account.

Export and sharing

When you export a calculation to CSV or PDF, the file is produced on your device and handed to your system's share sheet — iOS's or Android's. Where it goes next is your decision, and it does not travel through us.

When you write to us

If you email support, we use your message and address only to reply to you. We do not use that correspondence for marketing and we do not share it.

Children

The app is built for financial calculation and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children — we collect no personal data from anyone.

Your rights & deletion

Because your data is on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. There is no account to close and no server record to request the deletion of. You are welcome to send us a GDPR or KVKK request; if we hold nothing about you, we will say so plainly.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Material changes are published here before they take effect.
