Privacy Policy
Boards Mobile is an app with your name on it: all data stays on your device and we don’t sit between you and the server. The text below is the legal version.
What data do we keep?
None. There is no account, profile, log or analytics record on our servers. When we say “we don’t keep,” we mean it structurally: there is no backend on our side.
What lives on your device?
- Personal Access Token — in the iOS Keychain, isolated from other apps.
- Organization name — the URL fragment of the Azure DevOps organization you connect to.
- Preferences — small UI state like language and last-used project / work item type.
- None of this remains anywhere once the app is uninstalled.
What goes over the wire?
Boards Mobile makes HTTPS requests straight to dev.azure.com. Requests carry your PAT in a Basic Authentication header; that header is read by Microsoft’s servers. There is no proxy, no middleware, no “our” server in between.
Third parties
Boards Mobile talks only to dev.azure.com (Microsoft). There is no ad network, no analytics SDK, no CDN tracking pixel.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from this age group.
Changes
If the policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes too. Material changes are also surfaced inside the app.
