Please include: device model (e.g. iPhone 15), iOS version, app version (Settings → About), reproduction steps and a screenshot if possible. With a clear description most issues are fixed in a single release.

If something is missing, write in. Maintained by a single developer, so not everything ships — but every suggestion is read and weighed against the roadmap.

  1. 01 How do I create a PAT?

    In the Azure DevOps web portal: User settings (top-right avatar) → Personal access tokens → New Token. Pick at least Work Items (Read & Write) scope. The token is shown once; once verified in the app it is stored in the device Keychain.

  2. 02 Is the app really free?

    Yes. Every feature is free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no “pro” tier. Development is sustained as a side project.

  3. 03 Is my data safe?

    Your PAT and organization name live only in your device Keychain. There is no server, log or analytics layer between you and Microsoft. API calls go straight to dev.azure.com. See the Privacy page for details.

  4. 04 Can I use it with multiple organizations?

    v1.0 supports a single organization. Multi-org will be considered in a later release if it’s a common request.

  5. 05 Is on-premise Azure DevOps Server supported?

    Not at the moment. v1.0 works only with dev.azure.com (Azure DevOps Cloud). Custom endpoints for self-hosted Azure DevOps Server are being explored for a later release.

  6. 06 iPad or Apple Watch?

    v1.0 is iPhone-only. iPad and Apple Watch builds are on the roadmap but unconfirmed.

  7. 07 My PAT became invalid. What now?

    Create a new PAT on the Azure DevOps side (with the same scopes). In the app go to Settings → Refresh Personal Access Token and paste the new one over the old. It is verified and stored in the Keychain.

  8. 08 Is this app made by Microsoft?

    No. Boards Mobile is not an official Microsoft application. It is a third-party client written by an independent developer on top of Microsoft’s public Azure DevOps REST API. “Azure DevOps” is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
